Hi – I’m Alex and I run AVB Electrical.

Growing up I had many different career ideas! Like most kids I wanted to be a footballer, but when reality hit that I wasn’t that good at football I decided joining the army was the path I wanted to take! Unfortunately at just 14 years old I had a severe knee injury and that would later prevent me from joining the armed forces. I’d always wanted to join the royal engineers and become an electrician, so I decided to do the next best thing!

After qualifying in 2013 I wasted no time in going self employed! I started my journey as a subcontractor and that gave me experience in multiple fields. From planned and reactive maintenance right through to full installations in both older and brand new properties.

Subcontracting was great and I met some fantastic people, but I knew I could provide a better and more comprehensive service to the public. I also knew that with the larger companies you lose that personal touch. I truly believe in making sure each client we help receives both the best level of service and the best workmanship possible.

At AVB Electrical we aren’t just looking to come in and change a light never to be seen again! We are trying to build a portfolio of clients that we work with long term. I believe this in turn leads to a more efficient project (as we already know your property and its installation) as well as giving our clients peace of mind they have a local, reliable and trustworthy tradesman they can call on whenever they need us.
