If you are looking to have one or more extra socket, switch or light added to an existing circuit AVB Electrical has you covered.

Most older houses don’t have enough sockets! Back when they were built we didn’t have so many devices. Back in the 60s/70s/80s you may have only needed 1 socket in your bedroom and maybe 2 in the living room! However today things are very different. From TV’s to sky boxes, sound systems to smart hubs, we now have more devices than ever in our homes!

Adding extra sockets may be simpler than you think! Using our specialist chasing machine we can cut a neat channel out of the wall to run new cabling to the location you’d like your new sockets. Our machine connects to a state of the art dust extraction machine meaning we can make these channels virtually dust free.

Once the channels have been cut we can wire in your new sockets and all that’s left to do is fill in the channels we have cut. AVB Electrical can offer this service for an additional cost, or should you wish to use your own plasterer/decorator we will ensure all cabling is secured into the channels to ensure an easy repair for them.

We also will always aim to maintain the integrity of the ring circuit rather than just spurring off of an existing socket. This ensures a better practice giving you complete piece of mind that your new sockets are wired in using exactly the same method as the older sockets in the property.
